The journal “Creative Surgery and Oncology” has been published since 2009.

Since 2016, the founder of the journal is Bashkir State Medical University.

Since December 2020 it was included into the List compiled by the Higher Attestation Commission (VAK) of the Russian Federation of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for obtaining the scientific degree of the Candidate of Sciences or Doctor of Science are to be published.
